If you read my blog you can probably guess that I love pancakes! Check out my other pancake recipes, Dairy-Free Crêpes and Crêpe Pancake Recipe if you love them too!
This recipe is for my quick and easy protein pancakes, which is a healthier alternative to a normal pancake/crêpe. I love a pancake in the morning but I also love a healthy pancake after a work out no matter what time of day, to help my body repair and refuel! If you have ever wondered what protein does for the body post-work out then let me quickly explain.
Protein is key in our everyday diet to aid cell renewal in our body and to control our weight-loss especially after or during a workout. When the body is exercising you are essentially breaking down muscle which needs to be repaired and strengthen, which aids growth! This is why weight lifters like to drink protein shakes and have a protein and fat-digesting carbs filled meal after their workout to give them energy and also to ensure muscle recovery!
Whey protein powders and protein milkshakes are a great way to consume more protein in your daily diet. Remember protein it is not just for weight lifters but great for natura weight-loss too! A protein snack like a shake or a bar will give you energy and keep you full getting you through to your next meal (this is a great alternative to snacking on crisps and biscuits!) Check out my review of UFIT protein milkshakes which you can pick up at your local health store or Boots for a quick protein snack!
