When I self-tan I feel beautiful! I have a ‘love hate’ relationship with my skin. It is covered in acne scars from problem skin during my depression years and two pregnancies have left my body with my ‘tiger stripes’ stretch marks. When I am feeling low about the appearance of my skin, I remind myself of how much I have overcome and the amazing things my body has done and survived.
For me self-tanning allows me to fall in love with every inch of my skin again as I take the time to exfoliate, moisturise and then self tan, loving and tending to my skin to create a golden sun-kissed glow that makes me feel like a goddess; vanquishing all my insecurities and minimising my scars. When I self tan, I feel so much more confident with my body and myself, I can wear what I want without worrying about my uneven yellow looking olive skin and I can appreciate myself on those days where I may not feel so happy, but the realism is we can’t all look like Jennifer Lopez but a girl can try..right?!
Last week St.Tropez very kindly sent me their Self-Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse and Self-Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist. I am a huge fan of St.Tropez and have used their Gradual Tan Classic Body Lotion for many years and has always been my go to for keeping my skin looking healthy and tanned. So when I received this very exciting package, I couldn’t wait to try them.
First let me introduce you to St.Tropez’ new self-tan. This innovative self-tan has the most beautiful packaging, a transparent bottle with the colours of summer, blue with a hint of yellow. This beautiful bottle has an easy to use pump that creates a soft light-weight mousse, which has a wonderful tropical scent that if you close your eyes, could transport you to your favourite holiday destination. Using the St.Tropez Tan Applicator Mitt allows you to easily apply this product starting from your ankle upwards, smoothing over the skin in a light massaging motion which creates an even streak-free tan. I have some tips on how to prepare and achieve a flawless tan here if you want to check it out!
After the first use my skin felt instantly hydrated and soft, with no residue or stickiness my skin was glowing. After only a few hours my tan started to appear, a natural looking golden tan with no unpleasant self-tan smell and there is no need to rinse this tan off before heading out. I applied this on Sunday morning and headed out for the day and I didn’t then shower until the evening when I returned home. I was so happy to see how tanned I looked and how even my tan was. There was no transfer of tan to my clothing and even after washing my tan from my first application it lasted for days until I reapplied it on Wednesday evening. This vegan friendly formula is perfect for the novice self tanner as well as the pro’s out there. St.Tropez have really got everything covered for the perfect sun-less tan with the purity self tan range.
Just like the St.Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Water Mousse, the face mist is in the same gorgeous bottle and has the same tropical scent, but this bottle is a spray top which when pressed releases a light mist over your face (eye’s closed of course) making this the easiest and quickest face self tan I have ever used! I couldn’t believe how well this face mist developed, creating the most natural colour, just from a few sprays around my face. Again, there is no need to rinse this product and you can even use it over your makeup! I loved how my face looked so naturally tanned, just how I would look if I was out in the sun all day.
I think you can probably tell from what I said above that I LOVE the results I have seen so far using the St. Tropez Purity Self Tan range. I am honestly shocked how much I love it and how I have now be converted from using a gradual tan to a self-tan because it really is that easy to use. With such an even, natural looking golden tan, I now never need to sunbath ever again because I really don’t enjoy it and now I don’t have to!
Have you used St. Tropez products before?
St. Tropez shared my review over on their website and honestly it made me so happy.
