Homemade Hummus with Paprika

Hummus is a great healthy snack between meals perfect with cucumber and pepper sticks..

  • 240 g Canned Chickpeas, juice and all
  • 1 tbsp Tahini paste
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 1 Lemon, juice
  • 4 tbsp Water
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ground Paprika
  • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Coriander, to garnish


  1. In a blender add chickpeas with juices, the lemon juice, tahini, crushed garlic, paprika and the 3 tablespoons of water and lightly season with salt. Lightly blend or pulse until you reach a fairly smooth consistency, add one more tablespoon of water if the mixture is too stiff

  2. Spoon into a serving bowl and sprinkle a fair amount of paprika over the top

  3. Lightly drizzle the extra virgin olive oil on top and add a few coriander leaves for garnish

  4. Enjoy straight away or cover and chill in the fridge.
