If you follow me on instagram you have probably seen that I have changed my diet to gluten free and surprisingly it hasn’t been that difficult, as I eat clean and healthy foods which are naturally gluten free.
The major changes that I did have to make was cutting out regular pastas, breads & flours. I have done this by using a gluten free alternative and currently I am loving the Sainsbury’s Free From range.
I have previously created a recipe for French Toast but now that I have gone gluten free and I no longer use milk in my cooking, I have created a delicious dairy and gluten Frech Toast recipe.
(Serves 1)
1 tsp of Coconut Oil
1 Large Egg
100ml of Almond Milk
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
2 Slices of Seeded Gluten Free Bread (or a Gluten Free bread of your choice)
100grams Strawberries, sliced
Honey, to serve
In a large frying pan, add the coconut oil to a medium heat
Dip the bread slices into the egg, milk and cinnamon mixture, to coat all sides
Cook the slices for 3 minutes on each side until you get a nice light colour
To serve, top with strawberries or fruit if your choice and drizzle with honey and serve hot!
