Bio- Essence 24K Gold Water | Review

November 9, 2017

Let’s talk about skincare. A very important routine that you should have in your life is a skincare routine. Our skin is our biggest organ, and if you don’t look after your skin from the outside as well as the inside you will notice skin conditions like dehydration and premature ageing. Personally, I love having a skincare routine that works for me, I keep it simple and I am very specific on what I put on my skin.

I have recently read a few reviews on the skincare brand Bio-Essence and when I was lucky enough to be sent a product from them to try I was very excited.

The Bio-Essence 24k Bio-Gold Gold Water, is a product that is very different to those that I am currently using. Firstly, lets talk about the packaging! Oh my! The speckles of gold pigments within this product gives a very elegant and glam look, which looks perfect on my dressing table. The external packaging is very informative detailing what the product is and the benefits the product provides for your skin.

The one ingredient that makes this product stand out from it’s competitors is the 24k Gold. An  ingredient used in ancient times by royalty (I’m thinking Cleopatra and Ankhesenamun, I love the Ancient Egyptians!) to help them maintain their youthful appearance and beauty!

Gold, when used in skincare products, is known to help enhance skin renewal, slowing down the ageing process of the skin and defying premature ageing. With it’s amazing anti-oxidant  properties this product helps the skin fight off free radicals from the environment, which is one of the main causes of premature ageing of skin.

This product states that it will help enhance a perfect skin, concentrating on the 6 aspects that we would like to see from our skincare:

  1. Tightning of open pores
  2. Improving the skins elasticity to prevent the skin from sagging
  3. Plumping the skin to look youthful
  4. Regulating the sebum balance in the skin to mattify the skin
  5. Enhancing skin renewal for a healthier looking skin
  6. Restoring a natural and radiant complexion

This all sounds amazing doesn’t it?! But does it work?

Gold Water

I was able to fit this product into my beauty routine both in the morning and at bedtime quite easily. After cleansing my skin with my face wash, I pat my skin dry with a cotton towel and instead of using my toner I continue with a 20 pence size amount of this product in the palm of my hands. I gentle warm the product evening it out into my palms and continue to press/pat onto my face and neck until the product has completely absorbed into my skin. I then leave it for a few minutes before continuing with my serum and moisturisers.

Within the first few days I noticed my skin looked more energised, awake and radiant. My pores around my nose and chin were more refined and my skin stayed matte and oil free through the day and again when I woke up in the morning. My skin feels soft and smooth but in terms of anti-ageing it is hard for me to tell as I haven’t really got any fine line or deep wrinkles so I imagine the long term use of a product like this will help prevent those lines from appearing and setting on my face.

Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I will continue to use it and even purchase one when it is finished. I do believe this product can be purchased online and is also exclusive to Superdrug at the price of £16.99 for a 100ml bottle and there is promotion of a 1/3 off at the moment! (Excuse me while I go order some!)

Have you tried this product before? What did you think? Would you recommend anything else for me to use from this brand and range?

I’ve never used anything by this brand before but this looks interesting. I’m always a little skeptical of products with gold in them but this seems like a bargain x

Finding the right skincare can be hard. You should go to a brand you like and get a skin consultation, they will be able to recommend what type of product your skin needs.
