The weather is much colder now since I last posted an empties post. December is well and truly here; Christmas is less than a week away and I have another collection of empties to share on the blog today.
With Christmas around the corner these empties are making room for hopefully some new additions to the vanity table and my excitement to open, for the first time, a brand-new beauty product is honestly one of my favourite things to do. What a treat!
I’m not very consistent with a regular monthly empties post for many reasons. I either don’t have a lot of products and a blog post seems like a lot of effort or because the empties include products I’ve already shared and spoken about many times on the blog and finally because I sometimes just can’t be bothered and they just go in the recycling and that’s the end of that!
I thought I would get back on the horse with my first beauty post in a while. With a final empties post for the year, what better place to share some of the products that I have loved. So let’s dive straight in with what beauty empties I am finishing 2021 with.
I have actually lost count of how many of these cleansing balms I have had. Versed is a great and affordable brand that not only has good quality skincare in the forefront of its brand but helps the planet with its approach to sustainability. This gentle cleansing balm is a beautiful light texture that when applied to dry skin transforms from a balm to a nourishing oil that is fabulous in your first cleanse in your double cleanse routine to lift away dirt, pollution and makeup; leaving your skin clear to follow with your second cleanse. It always makes my skin feel extra clean and I always notice when it is missing from my routine. Another one will be purchased on my next trip to Boots.
My all time and absolute favourite Niacinamide. This small yet powerful product is perfect for my oily and dodgy pores. My skin clogs so easily so I need to maintain a good skincare routine that must always include this holy grail of a product. Niacinamide is the perfect skincare active to help reduces excess oil (which can cause clogged pores) but always reduce the redness this causes. Yes, redness isn’t always for dry skin guys! I honestly couldn’t recommend this light weight treatment to anyone who feels they need that extra help keeping their skin clear and calm if you have a combination and/or oily skin.
I fell in love with this ampoule instantly. After some thorough research for a product to add to my skincare routine to help with repairing my skincare barrier, this product was a purchase I made with the hope it would fill the void in my routine. I wasn’t disappointed! With quick absorbent ingredients like Aloe Vera and Centella to help calm and support the repair of the skincare barrier by keeping it soothed and moisturised. This product is great for retaining moisture, so is great throughout the year and during the change of seasons.
This is a cult classic. The multi-functional skincare face mist that helps to soothe, hydrate, boast radiance as well as help to refresh the skin throughout the day or even prime the skin for makeup. It really is an essential product in my makeup bag and handbag. Caudalie use the power of the humble grape to really help nourish and enhance the beauty of your natural skin. I’ve had a few of these face mists and I will 100% be repurchasing a bottle for the new year.
This gel-cream moisturiser from Summer Fridays has got to be one of the most soothing and hydrating moisturisers I have ever used. As someone who has an oilier skin, I have to be careful not to overload my skin with thicker creams. This gel-cream packed with ceramides and nutrients, instantly hydrates the skin and gives it the most beautiful healthy glow all while keeping the skin smooth, soothed and hydrated which equals radiant and glowing skin. This product would be great for every skin type because of the benefits it has. It’s definitely worth the price you pay for this aesthetically pleasing brand.
I have used the LRP Anthelios for years. A broad-spectrum UV 50+ sunscreen is my ultimate daily essential to finish my skincare routine in the mornings. This sunscreen is one of my favourites as it is so lightweight and doesn’t leave any white residue. It absorbs so effortless into the skin that you can easily reapply quickly throughout the day. I have tried a few other brands and this one just doesn’t compare. It’s brilliant!
I hope to replace all of these beauties soon as I don’t think I could live without them in my routine. I wonder if Father Christmas will bring me any for Christmas!
Have you used any of these products before? What products are in your empties collection this month?
Until next time,
Pinar xo
