One of my goals for 2018 is to look after myself better and one of the things I aim to do is to have more self-care moments like having a luxurious bath. So what better way to enjoy some me time than with some Lush Cosmetics and sharing my first ever Lush Haul and I have fallen in love!
I was first introduced to the Lush world when I was pregnant, 3 years ago my sister bought me a box full of Lush goodies that were recommended to her at the Lush store that would be perfect for pregnancy pampers. From this box I fell in love with a bath bomb called Twilight, which to this day is my favourite bath bomb and one thing I always treat myself to if I’m out shopping. This time however I wanted to grab a few more bits to try as I enjoy the idea of a relaxing bath using a Lush products.
I find it quite overwhelming when I go to a Lush store as there is so many different types of products and smells. As gorgeous as everything is in the stores, I can’t stay in there more than 10 minutes as the fragrances affect my head and I develop a migraine. I’m still not 100% sure what essential oils and fragrances affect my migraines so I am so particular in what I use on my body and in my bath otherwise it could all go wrong for me.
If it’s one thing I know from being in the Blogging Community is that Lush Bath Bombs are life! The designs of each bath bomb are so beautiful and creative and of course very photogenic and I love that Lush make seasonal bath bombs and products.
As it was Christmas time, I picked up the Christmas Jumper bath bomb, decorated with two adorable reindeers and using the traditional christmas scents like spicy clove and ginger, you can really enjoy the warming feels of this cosy bath bomb with a hint of Coriander seeds and Sicilian Lemon Oil to cleanse and refresh your body and soul. I loved the explosion of colours that came from the bath bomb fizzing out in the warm bath water. The colours of creamy warm pinks and vibrant oranges created a happy and cosy bath time.
The Luxury Bath Pud bath bomb shares the same scent as my favourite Twilight, so obviously this was going straight into my basket. The main ingredient used in both Bath bombs is Lavender, which is perfect for a bedtime bath, to help relax and soothe my body, preparing me for a good nights sleep. The use of Tonka, adds a gorgeous sweet caramel like fragrance which gives a hint of warmth to the combination of calming notes in this bath bomb.
What better way to follow a Twilight bath bomb than smothering my whole body in the famous Sleepy Body Lotion. The infusion of Lavender and Oatmeal with Jojoba Oil and Cocao Butter, creates the perfect dreamy comfort you need just before getting into bed. I love using Lavender Oils at bed time to encourage a peaceful sleep, check out my post on my bedtime routine here. I am very fortunate not to suffer from dry skin so when I buy body creams I tend to go for body lotions, as they are a lot thinner in consistency and they get absorbed by my skin so much better, not leaving it clogged or greasy. The Sleepy Body Lotion is perfect for my skin and I love the way it leaves my skin so soft and with a gentle shimmer, I feel like a goddess ready for some beauty sleep!
If you read my blog you will know that I suffer from flat and thinning hair. I have recently wrote a review of a great Hair Growth Supplements I am seeing fantastic results from, which you can check out here. The lovely girl in my local Lush store recommended this hair treatment for my fine hair. The Lush Roots Hair Treatment, to be used once or twice a month, is infused with Fresh Mint and Peppermint Oil to revitalise the scalp and hair roots to stimulate healthier hair growth and with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Nettle to soothe and add shine to dull and thinning hair, you can sit back and relax for 20 minutes by escaping to an exotic sunshine island with the fragrance of Sweet Orange, Neroli and Grapefruit oil. The combination of these amazing ingredients added volume and life back into my hair.
I am very pleased with my Lush purchases and I already can’t wait to pick up some more bits to continue my self-care pamper nights, when I get the kids to bed and can lay back in a warm bath with a book and relax.
Have you tried any of these Lush bits before? What are your favourites and what would you recommend I pick up on my next shopping trip? Please let me know in the comments.
Love this! I might have to treat myself to some of the pregnancy friendly ones! You’ll have to remind me what one that was again! Need some pamper time! X
I think you can use most of the stuff from Lush, while pregnant depending on what essential oils are in the products. Twilight is the one you got me and I still love it! I think you would like that too! xx
Thank you 🙂 xo
Lush is by far one of my most favourite places to get anything bath related, the quality and range is amazing! Loving your photo’s, they are stunning.

Aww thank you 🙂 xo
Love your blog! I used be obsessed with lush but in our current house, I really don’t enjoy baths. So I haven’t purchased any Lush bath bombs in such a long time, though I still pop into the store to have a look. I have been eyeing some of their facemasks though, especially their garlic one because I’ve heard it helps with pimples. Haven’t picked it up yet though because the smell is a bit odd and I’m a bit nervous to put new things on my face (I break out with the slightest bit of dust so new products is always risky!) (P.s I replied to your comment on my blog x)
