Welcome to another Cohorted Luxury Beauty Box review. May’s box is so glamourous that I was too scared to get the products out of the box to try them, as they look just like those shiny and precious ornaments your Nan would have on her display cabinet. The elegant, mirrored and crystal looking packaging gives it that luxury vibe and that 1920’s beauty vanity glam.

WHAT IS SHOW BEAUTY

May’s box is dedicated to the hair care specialist brand Show Beauty. I’ll be honest, before receiving this box I had never heard of it, which is something I really love about these beauty boxes; they introduce you to some amazing new brands and you get to try them out.

However, everyone knows who the beautiful Tamara Ecclestone is. Tamara is a successful model and entrepreneur who saw a gap in the market for a hair care brand like Show to provide functionality and hair care that works and smells amazing for any hair and bathroom vanity. The products are also paraben and sulphate free!

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE BOX

Let’s dive right into the luxury products that Show Beauty have to offer in May’s edition of Cohorted. The products included are as follows:

Now, don’t let the price put you off. I always say that you should invest in your skincare and beauty products and usually with luxury beauty, you get what you pay for and you definitely get luxury with these products. I honestly felt like Marilyn Monroe with the glamourous products I had lined up in front of me. I couldn’t wait to see if these shiny products would actually work on my hair.

SHOW BEAUTY LUX VOLUME LOTION

One thing I’m always wanting first and foremost from my hair care is volume! My goodness, my thinning hair needs as much as I can get and this light textured lotion is fabulous. I applied a small amount over my hair from root to tips and the blow dry activated a full-on voluminous look! The natural Polymers in the formula help to strengthen and lift, giving the hair such a thicker looking style. What I love about this Lux Volume Lotion is not only does it help activate volume in your hair but it has Sunflower Seed Extract to help protect the hair against free radicals and helps prevent UV photo oxidation, as well as leaving the hair feeling soft and looking healthy.

SHOW BEAUTY DECADENCE HAIR FRAGRANCE

Usually, I’m not one for even thinking about a hair fragrance but during this time, I’m taking more time for myself and my beauty routines. What better way to start the day than with a few spritz of a hair fragrance to freshen up your do. Now this Eau de Parfum is not like I expected at all, I’m always cautious when it comes to fragrances being too strong as some trigger off my migraines, however this fine fragrance is so delicate yet warming infused with Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera (it sounds like a body lotion for the hair) all the goodness of these ingredients to protect against moisture loss, protect against free radicals and enrich the hair with vitamins and antioxidants. This hair fragrance is the most luxurious and out-there product in the May Cohorted box and I’m here for it. This is a product I didn’t know I needed in my hair care routine.

SHOW BEAUTY DIVINE THICKENING MIST

This Show Beauty hair care product has to be my favourite from the subscription box. It’s a lightweight mist that instantly thickens the hair strands activated with heat styling, however as I’m not one to blow dry my hair, I tested out this product on a day when I left it to dry naturally and the results were great. My hair still looked thicker and healthier which is a big deal when I don’t want to blow dry my hair, as I can still use this product to encourage a thicker looking hair. Like the other products in this box, the natural ingredients used give off such a delicate and subtle natural fragrance that make these glamorous products very functional for daily use. Perfect for people like me that suffer from headaches that can be activated by smells. This thickening mist has an amazing combination of botanical ingredients that include Aloe Vera, Mango, Kiwi and Ginger to really condition and create healthy-looking and feeling hair.

SHOW BEAUTY SUBLIME REPAIR TREATMENT MASK

I adore a hair mask, there is just something so relaxing about them. This intensive yet gentle repair treatment mask provides a deep and nourishing masking for that sleek and shiny looking hair we all want. The ingredients are made up of a protein-based complex of Hydrolysed Pea and Quinoa Protein to provide instant hydration and elasticity for the hair. Just to really emphasise the glamourous and luxuriousness of this product, the ingredients Caviar and White Truffle cultivate the amino acids and minerals to strengthen and moisturise the hair from root to ends. I’ve used this hair mask once a week over the past couple of weeks and after 10 minutes, I rinse the product out and I’m left with the softest and shiniest hair. This hair mask went straight to the top of my favourite hair mask list.

SHOW BEAUTY BODY SHIMMER OIL

When I saw that Cohorted May’s Edition was all about Show Beauty, I just instantly assumed it would all be hair care, however there was a little extra surprise in the box, a Body Shimmer Oil. I am a sucker for a shimmer oil, I have so many as they are just stunning to help boost my mood with shimmering skin, it really adds a bit of glamour to my day. I also love to use body shimmer oils to give my skin a healthy-looking glow when it’s looking a bit dull. This Body Shimmer Oil has some great benefits with Argan and Jojoba Oil to nourish the skin and you are left with a natural and golden glow that enhances a natural tan. This would have been packed in my beauty bag for my holiday if it hadn’t been cancelled; hopefully it will be a product I can use during the summer here in the UK (praying for good summer weather).
