Shopping for Father’s day is not really the easiest thing to do right now, with lock down measures being decreased slightly every week and shops beginning to reopen, there is still some uncertainty with what the new experience of shopping will be like. From queuing, to face masks and hand sanitisers where ever you look, I think this is where online shopping comes into it own. So for Father’s Day this year, my children and I decided to change up our usually special trip to the shops and instead we did some online shopping via Moonpig.
Moonpig is an online personalised cards and gift website that I have used for years. There is just something a little special about creating and sending personalised cards to loved ones. This also gave us a new and exciting activity to complete while we have been at home. We trailed through old and new photos and selected a card template from the Father’s Day section on the website. The website is so easy to use; we selected the cards we wanted from a great range, we uploaded and adjusted the photos to fit with easy to use tools. We then chose a font and font size to write our personalised messages to Dad. The experience in itself was fun to do with the kids. I also created one from me to my husband as a little show of appreciation for being the best daddy to our kids.
Under the Father’s day section of the website, Moon Pig offer a variety of gifts from novelty items to chocolates and flowers. We first and foremost chose his favourite, chocolates. Thornton’s chocolates are always a great choice when gifting someone special. We are hoping Daddy will share these with us. The kids also choose a Me To You Bear that holds a shield saying ‘Best Dad Ever’.
I found that the delivery was slightly slower than usual but the quality of the cards and gifts makes up for these unprecedented times. Moonpig is always my favourite to create special personalised cards and they are always my go -to when shopping online for cards.
