If you read my blog you may have noticed that I haven’t posted in exactly a month and that isn’t due to me not wanting to, it’s just because I have so much going on! I am not finding the time to sit down with a fresh mind to write or to find the creativity to take some good quality blog photos. Even my Instagram posting has decreased, which according to the blogging world on Twitter has been a bit slow and unreliable due to the lack of engagement and following from new accounts, so I don’t really feel like I’m missing out on much there!
This is the first time I have really sat down to write anything so why not write a Life Update incase anyone wants to hear what I have been getting up to.
We sold our house in September and bought a new house near the Primary School Melis had started in September. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you see it, the house we have bought needed a lot of work to the point we currently have no kitchen, no bathroom and no heating! This is the reason we are temporarily staying with my Mum while we complete the work on our new home.
Living at my Mum’s is nice, back home in my old room and I get to see my Mum and Sister everyday but it is no longer home. I appreciate that my Mum is helping us out so much but having two young children who are completely out of their usual ‘routine’ has been quite difficult. Luca has become very clingy and dependant on me, not letting me leave the room or even the house, it has been exhausting! We have gone from enjoyable and easy bedtime to him not falling asleep without me close by. Melis being older has been fine, she has been loving the attention from her Nene and Teyze (Nan and Aunty) but she asks me everyday when we can go home. The novelty of staying at her Nene’s house has worn off.
My kids have been my priority and that is why my blog has had to take a back seat for the time being. I have been spending my ‘free‘ time home shopping for a kitchen, bathroom, tiles, paints etc. We have started the works in the house and should hopefully have the ‘big’ things done by mid November, in time to be in for Christmas.
I have also been very busy trying to keep my self well and happy due to my recent diagnoses of a Chronic Illness which is a topic for another post another day. It has been hard as I am out of routine, I’m not always eating as well as I would like to or exercise as much as I used to. I’m definitely not sleeping as well due to the stress of the new house and the kids needing my full attention and love.
I always say to my self it could always be worse and to be grateful for what I do have and the love and support I do have from my lovely family and a handful of friends.
I have finally accepted that I am not going to have such close friends that I see others have but over the past couple of months I have known which of my friends have truly shown their loyalty and friendship with regular messages to check in on my health and to ask about my children. I’ve recently had ‘friends’ unfriend me on Facebook or unfollow me on Instagram, texts from some asking to come and see my house! These texts make me laugh because they don’t even ask how I am or how my life is.. I don’t have time for those people anymore!
Overall, I am fine, not great but thankful for what and who I have in my life at the moment. I am keeping faith and positivity as my Husband and I have worked so hard to get to where we are today and been through so much, we deserve what we have achieved! Once our new house is finished I will be making that house a home for me and my family and I can’t wait for that next chapter in our lives to start. New home, fresh start and just in time for my favourite time of year, Christmas.
I will resume posting on Beauty Baking Bella again in November where I will not only be continuing to share my food, lifestyle and parenting posts and a brand new Beauty section which will feature some of my favourite brands.
Thank you to all of you that continue to read my blog, I really do appreciate all the support that you give!
I am still over on Twitter and Instagram so keep an eye out for my posts there!
In the mean time check out my last post here…
You definitely deserve everything you have achieved. I hope you are soon settled in your new family home.

Aww that’s so exciting that you’re moving house! I’m completely with you on the friend thing, I can count my real friends on one hand! Good luck with the move xxx
Aww thanks lovely! xo
Thank you very much 🙂 xo
Life gets busy and it’s important to take a step back and recognize what’s important and what you need to focus on. It’s okay to take time away from the blog, especially if you’re so busy…

It has actually been quite nice not to worry about blogging regularly. My house is nearly finished and I feel all refreshed and ready to start writing again 🙂
