As it is the Easter Holidays we have been doing a little baking in preparation for our Easter weekend. This will only be a quick post as I wanted to share a really quick and easy recipe if you wanted to create some festive Easter sweet treats to share with your family.
This is a great recipe to do with little ones as they can help get amongst the sticky marshmallows and helps decorate with, my personal favourite, Cadbury’s Mini Eggs.
So here it is my recipe for these sweet and tasty Marshmallow Rice Krispies & Mini Egg Treats.
Remember Cadbury’s Mini Eggs are not suitable for children under the age of 4. Personally, I never leave my 5 year old on her own when eating, especailly Mini Eggs!
Easter No-Bake Fun with Kids!
If you have some fairy cake or muffin cases get them out ready or use a muffin tin if you don’t want to use cases
In a saucepan, over a medium heat, melt the butter
Add in the marshmallows and stir through with a wooden spoon until they have all melted and there are no lumps and remove from the heat
Pour in the Rice Krispies and using the wooden spoon, mix until everything has been combined together
Using an ice cream scoop or a table spoon, spoon roughly an even amount of the Rice Krispies and decorate with some mini eggs
Put them into the fridge for at least half an hour to set and enjoy!
Store them for up to 2 days in an air tight container at room temperature or freeze for up to 6 weeks, remember to separate them in between parchment paper/ foil so they don’t stick when frozen.
