3 Stay At Home Outfits With Femme Luxe

During my time at home in the recent lockdown, I have been on a major de-cluttering spree and this included my wardrobe. I’m always one for cleaning out my clothes periodically/seasonally and reorganising my wardrobe but this time I did the Marie Kondo of de-cluttering and bagged up any items of clothing, shoes and bags that no longer brought me joy. Those bags are ready and waiting for the charity shops to reopen so that I can donate them all and anything that wasn’t in reusable condition will be going to the recycle centre.

Now, after my big de-clutter I realised that I no longer had any clothes! I used this opportunity to revamp my style and with that I wanted to be more mindful and only purchase clothing that I know I would get good use out of and would be staples in my wardrobe for years to come.

Then the clothing Gods sent me a amazing opportunity; a collaboration with Femme Luxe clothing! I was kindly given the freedom to look through their current collection to pick some items for myself.

MY STYLE AND WARDROBE

First, let me start off by saying that currently my wardrobe consists of three looks/styles:

Day/ Causal/ Comfy Look
Upbeat / Feeling Done up for the day look
Evening/ Smart / Pretty Look

Now, look number 1 has taken centre stage over the last couple of months because of the current pandemic as I’m living in lounge wear and joggers for comfort. Therefore, every week I am making sure to have at least one or two days of look number 2 to give myself some motivation to either feel better and happier or to get me into work mode when I have content to create and writing to do. My husband and I have also been creating at home date nights, where I have been dressing up with look number 3. We are loving our little micro date nights in and I like the fact I can get dressed up and enjoy and evening with my husband amidst the current lockdown. Our favourite date nights are game nights and lots of food in case anyone needs some inspiration.

So, from Femme Luxe I chose a lounge wear set, a pair of casual jeans and a dress for date night.

THE FIRST OUTFIT

I’m a sucker for a co-ord lounge wear set. This grey set is so soft and comfy to wear, the material is breathable and the quality is great.

THE SECOND LOOK

Jeans! Now, there has been a lot of jean chat at the start of this lockdown, people calling each other crazy for wearing jeans at home. Well, I don’t mind it, it allows me to get into work mood and these jeans are so comfy to sit in and can be matched with any t-shirt. I love plain tees at the moment and this look is still a casual at home look, but one that can boast your mood and get you motivated if you are having to work from home.

THE THIRD LOOK

An elegant LBD (Little Black Dress) perfect for an at home date night (plus it goes really well with comfy socks haha)! This dress can be styled up for an elegant evening look with gold details using jewellery and your favourite heels or dressed down with a pair of tights and ankle boots. You can never go wrong with little black dress in your wardrobe for any occasion.
