Recently, my husband and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary and this year we decided to keep it low key and celebrate with our babies. Every year we make sure we do something memorable to celebrate the fact we haven’t killed each other and have made it through another year haha!!
In the past we have celebrated our wedding anniversary’s with weekends away like a weekend to Edinburgh to see Lionel Richie in an open air concert at Edinburgh Castle, a Spa Day and last year we stayed in London for the weekend to see Aladdin the Musical and have some time as Wife and Husband instead of Mum and Dad.
This year, our usual baby sitters were either out of the country, working or had a newborn baby to take care of (you may have seen on my instagram I am now an Auntie to a beautiful nephew) so we decided to have a family fun day instead. We had brunch out at Cafe Rouge then headed to Mr Mulligan’s Dino Golf in Sidcup for an afternoon of Jurassic golf adventures with the kids. One thing that made this day special for me was that when we celebrated our first wedding anniversary, our first baby was only a few months old, and leaving her was extremely hard for me so we stayed local and actually came to this mini golf before heading to Greenwich for dinner so it was really special to do this day out again with our two babies and we had an amazing time!
Mr Mulligan’s Dino Golf in Sidcup, is you guessed it, Jurassic themed. You can get a family pass for ÂŁ26 which I think is great value for money.
With 2 x 18- hole Adventure golf courses, you can choose which course you want to play or pay to play both courses.

My husband actually plays golf so I was expecting him to be ok, whilst I was preparing to be absolutely awful but each hole is very different and by the time we got a few holes in, I had found my technique and was actually making pars and even managed to sink 2 hole in ones (I know go me!!) The kids also had a great time and loved playing with us, we had a great time laughing and spending time together.
I think it’s so important to make time to have days out like this with the whole family. It can be easy to get caught up in life, work, school and the afternoon we spent at Mr Mulligan’s Dino Golf was definitely a happy memory we will always have celebrating our 6th Wedding Anniversary and as we don’t live too far we will definitely be taking the kids here again while we still have our gorgeous summer in the UK.
Have you played mini golf before? What fun days out do you like to have with your family?
